A polycondensed silicone elastomer which, after addition of a tin salt catalyst, cross-links at room temperature and becomes a very soft silicone elastomer, 8 to 10 shore A.
Silastic 3487 is designed for impression and reproduction applications. This product is suitable for very complex shapes with undercuts. This product is not intended for medical or food use.
Characteristics : Excellent mechanical strength / Reproduction accuracy / Very soft / Fluid / Very good resistance to polyester resins / Polyurethanes.
Very high tear strength / Can be thixotropic (non flowing) for vertical surfaces with 3011 additive (2 to 4 %) / Low shrinkage. 0.2 to 0.5% / Several choices of catalysts at 5 %.
3081 : 1h30 working time demoulding 18h at 23°.
3081F : 45 mn working time demoulding 6h at 23°.
3081VF : 20 mn working time demoulding 2h at 23°.
